Services provided: family medicine, preventive health and wellness, physicals or care for minor illnesses, immunizations, laboratory, health management and behavioral health.
How to be a patient: Nevada Heath Centers at Henderson accepts new patients. It is appreciated if you call in advance for an appointment. The Medical Center welcomes most private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, Women’s Health Connection and Nevada Check-Up. A sliding fee schedule for low-income patients who do not have insurance is available. Identification and income information is needed to enroll in the sliding fee program.
Appointments are strongly recommended; some sites do see walk-ins for emergency needs. Call the medical center to check on walk-in availability.

Carrie Ash-Mott, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She earned her medical degree from the Texas Tech School of Medicine. Dr. Ash-Mott says she chose to become a physician because she wanted a career that is challenging and requires continuous learning. She decided to work in community health because it provides an opportunity for all people to get healthcare, regardless of ability to pay.
Bernadette Yalung-Almodiel, PA, works at Nevada Health Centers because it gives quality service to all – young and old. She has a passion for the underserved, senior citizens, victims of human trafficking, medical mission work and advocacy for laborers. Outside of work her hobbies include watching concerts, going to theatres, reading, exercising for health, and volunteer work.
Kami Larsen, MD, works at Nevada Health Centers because she wants to provide great patient care to an underserved population of children. She’s the President elect of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Nevada Chapter. She is a native of Nevada and has dedicated her professional life to serving the children of Clark County for the last 14 years. Outside of work her hobbies are reading, writing, traveling and enjoying time with her family.
Betsy Huang, MD, received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, NV and completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles, CA. She is Nevada Chapter Vice President of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has previously worked as an Instructor/Lecturer at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Las Vegas.
