Services provided: preventive health and wellness, well child checks, sick visits, sports physicals, immunizations and health management.

Providers at Carson City School-Based Center:
Susan Pintar, MD, FAAP has recently joined Nevada Health Centers at the Carson City School-based Health Center location. Dr. Pintar has practiced medicine, concentrating on special needs pediatrics and public health for over 25 years. She is also currently the Health Officer for the Carson City Health District and for Douglas County. Her work at the SBHC includes well-child checkups, immunizations, behavioral evaluations and other pediatric services.
Dr. Pintar completed her specialty training at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Oakland and Kapiolani Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Honolulu after graduating from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Pintar is a member of the Nevada State Medical Association and has chaired the Public Health Commission. She is a former Chief of Staff at Carson Tahoe Hospital.
Her work with special needs children includes serving as Medical Director at Eagle Valley Children’s Home for the past 16 years. She has also been a consultant to various organizations and agencies including Nevada Medicaid and Nevada Early Intervention Services. Pintar also serves on the boards of non-profit organizations including Advocates to End Domestic Violence and Small Blessings Christian Preschool.
Dr. Pintar believes that good health involves more than just ‘checkups’ and advocates for a healthy community in recreational opportunities, healthy food choices and access to physical and mental health care for everyone.
Karie Randall, FNP, loves preventive medicine, primarily working to prevent cardiovascular disease in childhood and adulthood. In her free time, she loves to run and hike with her husband Warren and puppy Ebby. She enjoys being in the mountains and visiting her 12 nieces and nephews located in California, Missouri and Michigan.
