“It takes courage to make the decision to help yourself by seeking professional services. I am honored by the work I do, and I look forward to talking about your specific mental and emotional needs with you.”

Mylinda Barrick is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for Nevada Health Centers. Trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), she offers empathy and skills in the following areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. She specializes in working with grief and helping patients who are navigating feelings of loss, as well as their belief systems or spirituality.

“I enjoy working with patients who want to empower themselves to have a life of more peace and joy,” Mylinda says. “My practice is built on being present and teaching you how to identify how your thoughts, emotions and behaviors impact your current state of well-being.”

Her approach to behavioral health is to focus on the specific needs of her patients, taking a team approach to creating goals together. “You may be depressed or anxious and need to learn skills to manage and overcome your current limitations,” she says. “We’ll work together to develop empathy, social support and practical skills you can use to relieve your symptoms.
