This week, Aug. 2-8, is National Health Centers Week. For nearly five decades, we have been serving our communities. We’ve seen it all and continue to be a beacon for those who seek our special brand of care.

Each year, NVHC cares for thousands of patients, ensuring that all parts of Nevada receive quality care via our 20 clinic locations, five mobile units, and seven WIC offices. At every location, we strive to create an environment where individuals and families feel welcome, safe, and heard, no matter their insurance status or living situation. We ensure that every patient leaves the office with all the information and support they need — when they need us most.

This year, the American Cancer Society (ACS) acknowledged Nevada Health Centers for our continuous efforts to bring easy and affordable mammogram exams to the community. One in eight women will develop breast cancer, and while cancer death rates have been steadily decreasing since 1989, getting annual screenings is still one of the most important steps in early detection. Our Mammovan prides itself on helping women ages 40 and older get these screenings and lowering barriers to safe and affordable care.
