Bringing Lifesaving Skills to Rural Nevada: NVHC Hosts Free CPR Classes in Austin

October 30, 2025 Uncategorized

On Wednesday, October 29, Nevada Health Centers’ Northern Mobile Medical Services team traveled to the rural town of Austin, NV, to host free CPR classes for local residents.

Led by Emily Finley and coordinated by Program Manager Cheyenne Bryant, the event brought together community members eager to learn how to respond in an emergency. For many participants, this training provided not only essential lifesaving knowledge but also reassurance that help and healthcare education can reach even the most remote corners of our state.

Access to healthcare in rural Nevada can often be limited due to geography and distance. That is why outreach efforts like this are such an important part of NVHC’s mission. By delivering preventive education and medical services directly to these communities, our mobile teams help bridge the gap and ensure that every Nevadan has the opportunity to live a healthier, safer life.

Nevada Health Centers is proud to serve rural and frontier regions across the state through its network of health centers and mobile units, including medical, dental, and mammography services.
